An oldie, but a goodie. Learn how Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) supports collaboration in teams, among stakeholders and across organisations.

Description

Facilitator: Dr Michelle Shields

Every year there are over 2 million administrations of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) conducted around the world. With its origins in career development as a way to help match personality traits of women entering the workforce during World War II, the MBTI has grown in use since then to include applications in leadership development, interpersonal relationship building, team performance and organisational development.

This Leadership Masterclass will look at a variety of ways the MBTI can be applied including examples from leadership development, team development, and organisational change. You will learn how the MBTI can be used to increase effectiveness in a variety of settings. The session will include samples of MBTI workshop outlines and you will be encouraged to share your own practices in using the MBTI.

This Masterclass will assist leaders in the development of collaboration skills, and how the MBTI can be used to encourage stakeholders to work together and establish cross-organisational approaches to address problems and issues.

This masterclass addresses the leadership behaviours of Collaboration, People Development, and Personal Leadershipon our Leadership Competencies Framework.
