Dr Colleen Mills is an Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Canterbury.

Colleen is an award winning teacher and researcher in areas related to communication management.  Her research examines communication during times of uncertainty and disruption. She has published widely on this topic in a range of international journals including Group and Organization Management, Journal of Managerial Psychology, the Journal of Business Communication, the Australian Journal of Communication and the Communication Journal of New Zealand.  She has recently completed a co-authored with two Australian colleagues text on business communication, Business Communication in the Global Age (Crossman, Bordia & Mills, 2011).

Colleen is an experienced public speaker and training and development consult, working with mainly large organizations in the area of communication and diversity management. She is also an Executive Member and Past-President of the Australian and New Zealand Communication Association.
