Dr Joerg Finsterwalder, PGDipTertTchg, DBA, Dipl-Kfm, born in Germany, is a senior lecturer in marketing and part of the Department of Management at the University of Canterbury where he has been since the end of 2005.
Joerg has several years experience in relationship marketing for an international car manufacturer and has worked both for Audi AG headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany, Relationship Marketing Department, and for Audi of America's Relationship Marketing Unit in Detroit. In addition, he brings some years of experience from the finance industry.
Joerg's research focus is in the area of relationship marketing, in particular customer lifecycle management, designing customer contact strategies, integration of the various marketing disciplines in a holistic customer facing strategy and its implementation. He has published several articles on customer relationship management (CRM) and services marketing. Besides teaching in the University of Canterbury's MBA programme, Joerg is also teaching in an Executive MBA programme in Switzerland.
